a miscellaneous collection of
unconventional services

Born in Downey and raised across SoCal, I eventually landed in Buena Park for my school years before moving to Long Beach in 2001 to finish my undergrad in English Lit at CSULB—Go Beach! Before that, I’d gone through trade school and worked as a medical assistant, so I’ve always been blending the practical with the poetic.

Over the years, I’ve worn a lot of hats: ob/gyn MA, mortuary evening admin, editor, tutor, nonprofit program lead, and cannabis industry advocate. These roles shaped my work in harm reduction, community access, death education, and breaking stigma around life transitions and altered states.

These days, I’m a Community Educator, Grief Worker, End-of-Life (Death Doula), Altered States Facilitator, Community and Business Support. —supporting individuals and families through self-led journeys and end-of-life with care, options, and dignity. My time in the deathcare space sparked big questions: how do we process death, and what do we need to do it better? I believe access to information and compassionate support makes all the difference.

As co-founder of the Peer Education Community Center (PECC), I focus on peer-based learning, grassroots advocacy, and helping new nonprofits find their legs. We’re especially committed to supporting people who use drugs, unhoused folks, and anyone navigating complex systems.

I’ve called Long Beach home for over 20 years—living, organizing, and dreaming up better ways to take care of each other. Whether I’m guiding a community workshop or holding space at the threshold of life, my work is rooted in care, equity, and creative approaches to change.
